Treasure Chest

The Treasure Chest is all solid Knotty Pine construction, and the box is made from either solid pine or MDF, depending on the finish you choose. Its slatted, barrel-shaped lid gives our Treasure Chest Wooden Toy Box a distinctive style: one that will suit the most discriminating little pirate. The bottom trim completes the look, making it our most decorative toy chest. Handcrafted to last a lifetime and beyond.

• Weight: Knotty Pine construction - approximately 31lbs, MDF construction - approximately 43lbs.
• Knotty Pine construction throughout when ordered in Unfinished, Natural, Honey Oak or Espresso. When ordered in Pink, Lavender, Gray, White or Linen, parts will be made of MDF for a smoother finish.
• On unfinished or natural orders you may see small blueish streaks in the knotty pine which is called "blue stain". Streaks are small and light enough that when ordered finished in a color they wont be noticeable.
• This chest uses the very best lid support available. The lid holds its position at any angle, thoroughly ensuring your toddler's hands and fingers won't get hurt when closing the lid.
• Safety-focused design with cutout handles and a front finger cutout. 
• Ships unassembled, assembly is quick and painless.
  

Materials and Finish

• All finishes are water-based paints and stains so that our furniture is non-toxic and safe for children. There may be an odor when first unpacked but will dissipate more rapidly with warmer temperatures and air movement.
  
• Please note, all unfinished products are meant to be finished with stain, sealer or paint before use. 
• All products are made to order and typically take 2-3 weeks to ship.
• Since we manufacture all Wood Toy Box products in our own facility, they start out as unfinished raw wood. We can offer every piece unfinished at lower prices if you would prefer to stain or paint it yourself.
